Microencapsulation: A Promising Technique for Controlling Drug Delivery

Microencapsulation is a well-established process of enveloping or surrounding one substance into another which gives capsules having range from less than micron to several hundred microns in size. One the highly efficiently method micro encapsulation, particles microspheres rely upon various factors like solubility polymer solvent, concentration polymer, organic solvent water, rate removal etc. Microparticulate drug delivery systems are an interesting and promising option when developing oral controlled release system. The objective this paper take closer look at microparticles as devices for increasing efficiency delivery, improving profile targeting. In order appreciate application possibilities microcapsules some fundamental aspects briefly reviewed. system, releases active medicament predetermined targeting specific site over prolonged period time.
